The fact that you are here says a lot. One, that you probably have a definite love for photography. And two, that you own a camera that may seem more like a rather expensive paper weight these days.If that’s the case, then I’m here to help!
In 2014, I began my first Project 365, where I took a picture of my daughter every single day for a year. Throughout the year, I had a multitude of people tell me just how lucky my daughter Camilla was to have so many beautiful pictures of her daily life to look back on. That really impacted me. Why shouldn’t every family get to have that same opportunity that I have given my own daughter? So, I asked myself, what can I do to make that happen?
My job as a photographer is to document moments in your family’s life once every few months, or every few years, but I can’t be there every day. I can’t be there for all the silly faces, all the snuggles and the messes. I can’t be there for the magical everyday life moments… but you can. So I launched my first set of Mom’s That Click classes for all those moms out there who really wanted to capture their children’s lives as they began to grow. I loved teaching them so much, so I got to thinking…
Why stop at moms!? My passion is photography, and I would like everyone to be able to take amazing pictures, whether you have a child, a fur baby, or just a general passion for documenting life and all it has to offer. And so, I am offering this class to those of you who would like to get your camera back in action and even those of you who are just starting. My goal is to get you out of shooting in auto and really learn how to use that powerful, amazing tool you have currently collecting dust.
I can’t wait to see you there!
In the workshop, you will learn:
- How to get that camera of yours out of Auto
- Fancy pants photography lingo like ISO, aperture and shutter speed
- How to achieve your desired exposure
- How to shoot in low light
- How to achieve that creamy background that everyone loves
- How to use the light
- Which lenses to use in which situations
- Composition tips
- Shooting in RAW
- Storing and Backing up your files
In this class you will learn everything you need to know about getting out of auto and gaining full control of your camera! Please bring your camera and camera guide to the class. This class typically takes 2-3 hours, depending on how quickly you catch on. We will take time to practice shooting, and review what you learned before we wrap up.
